On the morning of March 20, 2024, the Office of International Cooperation of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) organized the inaugural session of its series on Global Public Health Cooperation and Capacity Building. This seminar prominently featured Dr. Ali Shirazi, the Chief of Child Health and Development Section, UNICEF Office for China, as the keynote speaker. Over fifty participants, including staff from the foreign affairs system of China CDC and students and professionals keen on global engagement with international organizations, attended the event, which utilized a hybrid format of both online and in-person attendance.

10, 2024Academic Publishing Administration Office Conducts Training to Enhance Capabilities of Journals Sponsored by China CDC
On March 28, 2024, the Academic Publishing Administration Office hosted a training session in Beijing to enhance the capabilities of journals sponsored by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC). The training was led by Liu Bing, Vice President of the Journal Society of the Chinese Medical Association, and Liu Qian, Director of the Journal Editorial Department at the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. Zhang Qun, Deputy Director of the Academic Publishing Administration Office, presided over the event, which was attended by a total of 28 staff members from the sponsored journals.

China and U.S. CDCs Hold the 28th Technical Exchange Teleconference
On the morning of March 27, 2024, Beijing time, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (U.S. CDC) jointly held the 28th technical exchange video conference. This session's theme was focused on the Surveillance and antimicrobial resistance of Mycoplasma Pneumonia. Over thirty experts participated in the meeting. Moreover, the conference featured special guest Professor Zhou Zhemin and his team from Suzhou Medical College of Soochow University, who shared their latest research discoveries.

March 24, 2024, is the 29th World Tuberculosis (TB) Day. On the preceding day, a significant promotional event for this occasion was successfully hosted at the People's Daily Health App Studio. The event was organized under the guidance of the National Disease Control and Prevention Administration (NDCPA), led by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) and the Chinese Health Education Center, with additional support from the Chinese Anti-tuberculosis Association and the Chinese Association of STD and AlDS Prevention and Control.

To rigorously advance the application process for the National Natural Science Foundation projects and to improve the quality and number of funded proposals, the National Institute for Radiological Protection has proactively managed the preparation work. It has kept abreast of the progress in writing applications and the one-on-one expert reviews, leading to the convening of the National Natural Science Foundation Project Application Expert Consultation Meeting for 2024 on March 1st, 2024.
