29, 2025China CDC (Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine) Holds Working Meeting on Curriculum Development for Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) Program
On June 6, 2025, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC), also known as the Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine, convened a working meeting in Beijing to advance curriculum development for its Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) professional degree program. Shi Xiaoming, Deputy Director of China CDC and Executive Dean of the Graduate School, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. More than 20 participants took part in the meeting, including members of the DrPH Curriculum Development Coordination Group, heads and core members of disciplinary working groups, and representatives from the Graduate School. The meeting was chaired by Liao Kaiju, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training and Deputy Dean of the Graduate School.

29, 2025China CDC Holds 2025 Work Coordination Meeting for the Southern Xinjiang Workstation in Kashgar
On May 26, 2025, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC, also known as the Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine) held the 2025 Work Coordination Meeting for the Southern Xinjiang Workstation in Kashgar, Xinjiang. Attendees included representatives from the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region CDC, the CDC of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, the Southern Xinjiang Workstation and its liaison points, as well as staff from relevant departments of China CDC (the Academy). Former heads of the Southern Xinjiang Workstation and public health experts from provinces and municipalities engaged in counterpart support to Xinjiang were also invited to attend and provide guidance.

20, 20256th Annual Meeting of the Institutional-based Network of China-Africa Cooperation on Malaria Elimination(INCAM) Successfully Held in Changsha
On June 13, 2025, the 6th Annual Meeting of the Institutional-based Network of China-Africa Cooperation on Malaria Elimination(INCAM) was successfully held in Changsha. The event was hosted by the National Institute of Parasitic Diseases, Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Chinese Center for Tropical Diseases Research). The meeting brought together approximately 50 participants, including national representatives from Tanzania, Zambia, Senegal, and The Gambia; experts from Tsinghua University, Peking University, Sun Yat-sen University; provincial CDCs in Henan, Anhui and etc.; and representatives from the World Health Organization Global Malaria Programme (WHO GMP), the Gates Foundation, as well as relevant enterprises.

01, 2025National Training Workshop on the Application of the Integrated Disease Prevention and Control Management System Successfully Held in Zhengzhou
From May 20 to 22, 2025, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) held a national training workshop on the application of the Integrated Disease Prevention and Control Management System in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. Participants included personnel from the China CDC’s Information Center, Department of Laboratory Management, and Office of Policy Research, as well as technical staff responsible for the overall coordination of integrated disease control information management from the CDCs of all provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government, and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. Zhu Dengjun, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Henan Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention, attended the event.

01, 2025National Training Workshop on the Prevention and Control of TB/HIV Co-infection Convenes in Beijing
From May 13 to 14, 2025, the National Center for Tuberculosis Control and Prevention of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) organized a national training workshop focused on the prevention and control of TB/HIV co-infection in Beijing. Approximately 40 representatives from the CDCs of 31 provinces and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps attended the training.

01, 20252025 National Tobacco Control Capacity-Building Workshop Successfully Held in Urumqi
From May 8 to 9th, 2025, the Tobacco Control Office of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) organized the 2025 National Tobacco Control Capacity-Building Workshop in Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Nearly 100 participants attended the workshop, including provincial-level coordinators for smoking cessation interventions, specialists from smoking cessation clinics, and physicians from 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.

01, 2025Australia–China Foundation Project Delegation Visits the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention
On May 15, a delegation from the Australia–China Foundation Project visited the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC). The delegation was led by Professor Wenbiao Hu from Queensland University of Technology and included Dr. Ian George Barr, Deputy Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Reference and Research on Influenza (Melbourne), as well as experts from Queensland Health, the University of Canberra, the Australian National University, and Queensland University of Technology. Alexander Chapman, First Secretary of the Australian Embassy in Beijing, also participated in the visit. The exchange was coordinated by Researcher Wang Liping, Deputy Director of the Division of Infectious Disease Control and project lead for the Australia–China collaboration. Representatives from the Department of International Cooperation and the National Influenza Center at the Institute for Viral Disease Control and Prevention attended the meeting.

01, 2025China CDC Team Returns After Successfully Completing Mission as Part of China Public Health Team to Myanmar
On May 18, members of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) who participated in China Public Health Team to Myanmar successfully completed their mission. They arrived in China via Kunming Changshui International Airport and subsequently back to Beijing. Li Qun, Deputy Director of China CDC, along with heads and staff from the Institute for Communicable Disease Control and Prevention, National Institute for Viral Disease Control and Prevention, National Institute of Environmental Health , the General Office, the Department of Mass Organizations, the Public Health Emergency Center, the Division of Infectious Disease Control, and the Immunization Center, welcomed the team at Beijing Capital International Airport.

01, 2025China CDC and UNICEF Conduct Field Exchange on Child Road Safety Project in Gansu and Yunnan
Between February and April 2025, experts from the National Center for Chronic and Noncommunicable Disease Control and Prevention of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (NCNCD, China CDC), the UNICEF China Office, and the Road Traffic Safety Research Center of the Ministry of Public Security, along with project staff from provincial, municipal, and county-level offices in Sichuan, Yunnan, and Gansu, conducted a series of field exchanges as part of the Western China Child Road Safety Project. The visits were joined by leaders and representatives from local Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, education and sports bureaus, transport bureaus, and traffic police units at the provincial, city, and district/county levels.
