    The Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention and Meituan Sign Agreement on Infectious Disease Surveillance and Early Warning

    The Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention(China CDC)has recently signed a cooperation agreement on infectious disease surveillance and early warning with Beijing Sankuai Online Technology Co., Ltd.(Meituan).It aims to improve the integration of social sensing into epidemic monitoring efforts.  Monitoring and issuing early warnings based on publicly available information, including data from the internet.This index is intended to support the detection of potential outbreaks and to assist in early warning and trend forecasting.

    The China Field Epidemiology Training Program of China CDC (Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine) Hosts 2025 Training Workshop for Field Epidemiology Training Program Mentors

    The China Field Epidemiology Training Program(CFETP)of China CDC(Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine)held the 2025 CFETP Mentor Training Workshop in Beijing.More than 100 participants attended the event.Including primary mentors for two-year and intermediate CFETP trainees, field mentors from training bases, and CFETP program mentors.The workshop was chaired by CFETP Deputy Director Zhang Lijie.

    Infectious Diseases of Poverty Achieves Latest Impact Factor of 5.5

    On June 18, 2025, Clarivate released the 2025 edition of its Journal Citation Reports. The journal Infectious Diseases of Poverty has achieved a latest Impact Factor of 5.5, ranking in Quartile 1 (Q1) in the categories of Tropical Medicine, Parasitology, and Infectious Diseases,respectively. Notably, it ranks No. 1 in the Tropical Medicine category.

    China CDC Conducts Advanced Training Workshop on Mathematical Modeling for Emerging Infectious Diseases

    The Public Health Emergency Center of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention(China CDC), in collaboration with the National Key Laboratory for Pathogen Traceability, Early Warning and Intelligent Decision-Making.Hosted the second session of the Advanced Training ProgramWorkshop on Mathematical Modeling for Emerging and Re-emerging Infectious Diseases in Nanning.Guangxi.More than 50 technical professionals from provincial(including autonomous regions and municipalities)and selected municipal CDCs across the country participated in the program.

    Specialized Training on Commercial Cryptography Applications Successfully Held to Strengthen Security Protection

    To implement the requirements of the Cryptography Law of the People’s Republic of China on the application of cryptography in information systems and to accelerate the secure application of commercial cryptography in China’s disease prevention and control information systems, the Information Center of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) hosted a training program on commercial cryptography applications on July 3, 2025, at its North Campus. Over 60 participants attended, including business administrators of the disease prevention and control information systems, information technology personnel, and technical staff from maintenance service providers across various departments and affiliated units. The training was chaired by Fu Gang, Director of the Information Center.

    On the afternoon of June 27.Ludy Suryantoro, Head of Multisectoral Engagement for Health Security at the headquarters of the World Health Organization(WHO), visited the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention(China CDC).He had a discussion with senior officials and experts from the Global Public Health Center, the Emergency Operations Center, and the Office of International Cooperation.

    On the morning of June 26, 2025, the Office of International Cooperation of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) convened the 2025 China CDC- WHO Collaborating Centres (WHOCCs) Workshop. Approximately 15 participants attended the meeting, including current heads of WHOCCs and representatives from relevant departments.

    2025 Technical Training Workshop on National Food Nutrition Surveillance Held in Urumqi

    The 2025 Technical Training Workshop on National Food Nutrition Surveillance was held from June 10 to 11, 2025, in Urumqi, Xinjiang. A total of 145 participants attended the training, including personnel from 33 monitoring sites across 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities, as well as staff from CDCs in Weihai, Luohe, Ganzhou, Enshi, and other locations. Among them, 37 participants were from disease control agencies affiliated with the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and municipal and county-level CDCs.
