China CDC’s National Institute for Radiological Protection Signs Strategic Cooperation Agreement with the PLA Rocket Force Special Medical Center
On December 25, 2025, the National Institute for Radiological Protection of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) and the PLA Rocket Force Special Medical Center formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The signing marks a new phase of deeper and expanded cooperation between the two sides.
Based on the principles of equality and mutual benefit, complementary strengths, military-civilian collaboration, and common development, the agreement will advance cooperation in scientific research and academic exchange, sharing research resources and platforms, integrated training for emergency rescue, and joint treatment of nuclear radiation injuries. The two sides will explore a new cooperation model that combines scientific research, discipline development, training and drills, and emergency response, so as to achieve complementary strengths, shared resources, and shared benefits from outcomes.
The signing also signals that both sides will work together to deepen cooperation in health maintenance for radiation workers, prevention and treatment of nuclear radiation injuries, and nuclear emergency medical rescue. This is an important practice in promoting integrated development and serving the strategy of building a strong nation and a strong military. It will also provide solid support for safeguarding national security and advancing the Healthy China strategy.
