National "Occupational Disease Prevention Law" Awareness Week Main Event Held in Jinan

On April 28, 2024, the National Health Commission, the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the National Healthcare Security Administration, the National Administration of Disease Control and Prevention, and the All-China Federation of Trade Unions jointly held the main event of the 2024 "Occupational Disease Prevention Law" Awareness Week in Jinan. Li Bin, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the National Health Commission, attended the event and delivered a speech. Deputy Director Li Bin pointed out that all regions should be guided by the spirit of the 20th Party Congress and the 2nd Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee, earnestly implement the series of important instructions and comments made by General Secretary Xi Jinping on health and occupational disease prevention and control, and firmly place "prevention first" in the most prominent position. He emphasized the need to further implement the "four-party" responsibility system, unify thoughts, gather strength, take comprehensive measures, and address both the symptoms and root causes to build a strong barrier for occupational disease prevention. This will effectively protect the occupational health rights and interests of the vast majority of workers and promote the high-quality development of the occupational health cause.

 

As the technical support unit, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) assisted in the preparation and organization of the main event for the awareness week. Mei Yang, Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of China CDC, attended the main event.
