Academic Publishing Administration Office Conducts Training to Enhance Capabilities of Journals Sponsored by China CDC

On March 28, 2024, the Academic Publishing Administration Office hosted a training session in Beijing to enhance the capabilities of journals sponsored by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC). The training was led by Liu Bing, Vice President of the Journal Society of the Chinese Medical Association, and Liu Qian, Director of the Journal Editorial Department at the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. Zhang Qun, Deputy Director of the Academic Publishing Administration Office, presided over the event, which was attended by a total of 28 staff members from the sponsored journals.
 
Director Zhao Chihong of the Academic Publishing Administration Office emphasized that this training, under the guidance of the goal of high-quality development of China CDC's sponsored journals, aimed to address operational challenges, clarify regulations and procedures, and introduce innovative strategies for journal management.
 
Vice President Liu Bing and Director Liu Qian conducted specialized training sessions on the ethics of scientific journal publishing and publication processes management. They actively discussed research ethics, academic integrity, and data protection with participants, integrating recent domestic and international policies and guidelines.
 
This training session has achieved satisfactory results and is conducive to further enhancing the publication management skills of the center-sponsored journals.
