China CDC held training on animal biosafety management and technology in Qingdao

The Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) held a training course on animal biosafety management and technology for CDCs nationwide in Qingdao, East China's Shandong province, from Oct 31 to Nov 1.
 
More than 50 representatives from CDCs of provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities, cities specifically designated in the state plan, and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps participated in the training. 
 
Zainawudong Yushan, deputy director general of the China CDC, reported on the overall situation of experimental animal conditions and resource surveys in CDCs around the country in his opening speech.
 
Tan Feng, director of the Office of Laboratory Management of the China CDC, publicized biosafety regulations and standards. 
 
The course invited officials and experts, including Wu Xiaohuai from the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment, Wang Kezhou from Shandong First Medical University, Gao Hong from the Institute of Laboratory Animal Sciences, CAMS&PUMC, to deliver lectures on animal biosafety management and technology.
 
Lu Xuancheng, director of the Laboratory Animal Center of the China CDC, presided over the opening ceremony of the training, which was also attended by Gao Ruqin, director of the Qingdao CDC.
 
The participants had full exchanges during the training and reached preliminary consensus on the discussed topics.
