Eighth China Russia Infectious Disease Seminar Held in Saint Petersburg, Russia
During the two day seminar, participating experts held in depth exchanges on topics related to the prevention and control of infectious diseases, including influenza, tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS and infectious disease modelling.
The China Russia Infectious Disease Seminar is an important platform for exchanges between public health experts of the two countries. It is co-organised by China CDC and the Smorodintsev Research Institute of Influenza of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and has been held in succession since 2018, with eight sessions convened to date.
After the seminar, Deputy Director General Li led the delegation to visit the Smorodintsev Research Institute of Influenza. There he met with the Director, Dr Dmitry Lioznov, and the Deputy Director, Dr Daria Danilenko. The two sides discussed future cooperation and preparations for the 2026 China Russia Infectious Disease Seminar.
