National Training Workshop on the Application of the Integrated Disease Prevention and Control Management System Successfully Held in Zhengzhou
From May 20 to 22, 2025, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) held a national training workshop on the application of the Integrated Disease Prevention and Control Management System in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. Participants included personnel from the China CDC’s Information Center, Department of Laboratory Management, and Office of Policy Research, as well as technical staff responsible for the overall coordination of integrated disease control information management from the CDCs of all provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government, and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. Zhu Dengjun, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Henan Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention, attended the event.
The training focused on the in-depth analysis and application of data from the national integrated disease control management system. Li Shaoqiong, Associate Research Fellow at the Information Center of China CDC, introduced methods for strengthening data quality control in integrated disease control management. Li Jing, Research Fellow at the Department of Laboratory Management, provided a detailed explanation of the Standards for the Allocation and Management of Laboratory Instruments and Equipment in Disease Prevention and Control Institutions (WS/T 10001—2023) and the Notice by the National Health Commission on the Issuance of the Catalog of Human-Transmissible Pathogenic Microorganisms. Liu Yongxiao, Director of the Anhui Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention, gave a presentation on topic selection and submission strategies for medical research papers. Experts from regions including Inner Mongolia, Sichuan, and Henan shared practical experiences related to data quality control and data analysis and utilization. Participants also proposed specific needs for incorporating artificial intelligence technologies to enable intelligent data collection, analysis, and utilization. Their feedback offered valuable input for enhancing future nationwide training programs.
Through the training and in-depth discussions, participants gained a deeper understanding of the key points in data quality control under digitalized systems. The workshop laid a solid foundation for improving data quality and analytical capabilities, and for promoting research in public health policy.
