Intl symposium on food, big data and nutrition held in Chengdu

A symposium titled "INFOODS-NEASIAFOODS Workshop: Food, Big Data and Nutrition" was held in Chengdu, Southwest China's Sichuan province, on Sept 16.
 
The event, jointly hosted by the National Institute for Nutrition and Health under the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) and the Chinese Nutrition Society, was as a sub-forum of the 14th Asian Congress of Nutrition.
 
Experts from different countries and research fields were invited to exchange achievements and progress in the development of international food composition databases, the establishment of China's food composition surveillance system, the diversification of food supply systems, and the relationship between food composition and health. The era of big data would helpful for future precisionized and personalized nutrition.
 
Attendees unanimously recognized the development of China's food composition data and expressed their anticipation for the timely release of its English version.
