China CDC researchers attend international conference on Occupational Radiation Protection

The third International Conference on Occupational Radiation Protection themed on "Strengthening Radiation Protection of Workers — Twenty Year of Progress and the Way Forward" was held at the International Conference Centre in Geneva, Switzerland, from Sept 5 to 9.
 
At the invitation of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Hou Changsong and Deng Jun, researchers from the National Institute for Radiological Protection of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC), participated in the conference via video link.
 
Hou participated in the round table on "protection management of occupational radiation caused by radon exposure", and made a report entitled "Prevention and mitigation measures for occupational radon exposure of Chinese miners" at the meeting, in which he shared the management measures for occupational exposure control of radon in China.
 
Deng made a report entitled "National dose registry for worker occupationally exposed to ionising radiation in China (2009-2021)" at the Session 4 on "Occupational Exposure Levels and Dose Registries", sharing the research and development background, system structure, functions and domestic and international application status of the "National Individual Dose Monitoring and Registration System (Chinese version, international version)", as well as occupational exposure levels and trends in China.
