China CDC holds opening ceremony for new graduate students

The Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) held an opening ceremony for new graduate students of 2022 on Sept 1.
 
The ceremony was presided over by Dai Zheng, vice-president of the Graduate School of the China CDC. The ceremony brought together more than 300 participants, including Shen Hongbing, director of the China CDC, Zhou Yuhui, deputy secretary of CPC China CDC Committee, 298 new graduate students of 2022, leaders of institutions directly affiliated to the China CDC, officials of relevant departments of the China CDC, as well as representatives of supervisors.
 
Professor Shen Hongbing, deputy director of the National Administration of Disease Prevention and Control, director of the China CDC and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, welcomed the new graduate students and delivered a keynote speech at the ceremony. He encouraged the students to boost their academic skills and practical ability, and hoped that the students will always maintain a scientific and rational attitude, be filled with an innovative spirit, and become promoters and pioneers in the cause of public health future.
 
Jiang Jie, one of the new graduate students, expressed her expectations of further studies in the Graduate School of the China CDC and a career in public health.
 
Li Zi, a graduate student representative, shared his learning experience and encouraged the new students to enjoy their life at the Graduate School of the China CDC.
 
Researcher Li Tiantian, a representative of the supervisors, reviewed her experience from a student to a supervisor and heartened the students to fulfill their potential and make the most of their youth.
