China CDC to improve postgraduate teaching on health statistics

On Nov 28, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) held a work meeting on postgraduate-oriented health statistics teaching.
 
Researcher Hu Yuehua reviewed the management work on health statistics teaching conducted by the Office of Epidemiology of the China CDC since 2015, particularly objectives, curriculum design and future development considerations of four health statistics courses for doctoral and master's degrees programs.
 
Experts from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Peking Union Medical College, Beijing Children's Hospital and Sichuan University, who attended the meeting, fully recognized the office’s achievements in course management. They conducted a full discussion on the curriculum, teaching models, problems faced and reform directions of the statistical course, and made suggestions for postgraduate teaching at the center.
 
Ma Huilai, deputy director of the Office of Epidemiology of the China CDC, gave a summary of the meeting, calling for efforts to draw on the teaching experience of experts, further carry out teaching research, explore new teaching methods, to promote reform and development of postgraduate teaching at the center.
 
Yin Zhaoxue, deputy director of the Office of Epidemiology of the China CDC, presided over the meeting.
