Kickoff meeting on China Nutrition and Health Surveillance 2022 held in Beijing

The kickoff meeting on China Nutrition and Health Surveillance 2022 (CNHS 2022) was held in Beijing on March 18, to further implement the Healthy China Action Plan (2019-2030), the National Nutrition Plan (2017-2030) and the Basic Healthcare and Health Promotion Law Act.
 
Duan Lin, deputy director of the Chronic Disease and Nutrition Division of the Bureau of Disease Prevention and Control of the National Health Commission, Yan Jun, deputy Party secretary of the China CDC and Ding Gangqiang, director of the National Institute for Nutrition and Health of the China CDC, attended the meeting. 
 
More than 700 leaders and technical staff from 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities participated in the meeting virtually.
 
Duan and Yan put forward requirements for the arrangements and implementation of the surveillance project and gave instructions on how to overcome the difficulties and challenges that may be encountered in the work.
 
Ding emphasized the five key points for the work to all surveillance sites, including  timely reporting, scientific arrangement, efficient organization, strict quality control and smooth communication.
 
Zhao Liyun and Zhang Jian, researchers of the Institute for Nutrition and Health, briefed the overall plan and the laboratory work plan of CHNS 2022.
