China CDC holds conference on hemorrhagic fever prevention and control

The China CDC held a national conference themed on “Epidemic hemorrhagic fever prevention and control in key provinces” via video link on Dec 24, 2021 to prevent it from spreading further in winter.
Yan Jun, deputy Party secretary of the China CDC and secretary of its Commission for Discipline Inspection, pointed out that COVID-19 is still a severe threat, and as this is now also the high-incidence season for epidemic hemorrhagic fever, all departments at the China CDC must stay highly vigilant and get prepared for prevention and control.
Yan also introduced the development trend and basic prevention and control strategies for epidemic hemorrhagic fever in China, and made arrangements for the next phase of related work.

Experts from the Institute for Viral Disease Control and Prevention of the China CDC analyzed the situation of epidemic hemorrhagic fever in China and offered detailed explanations and instructions in terms of laboratory diagnosis, prevention and control techniques and epidemic responses.
At the meeting, experts from the Shaanxi Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Shandong Center for Disease Control and Prevention and Heilongjiang Center for Disease Control and Prevention delivered special reports, introducing local epidemic situations and progress in prevention and control, and sharing their experiences.
The conference was attended by more than 200 people, including staff members from the Institute for Viral Disease Control and Prevention of the China CDC, heads of a number of local CDCs as well as those in charge of epidemic hemorrhagic fever prevention and control in 15 key provinces.
