China CDC holds graduation ceremony for class of 2023

A graduation and degree-awarding ceremony was held by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) for the class of 2023, on July 4.

The ceremony was presided over by Shi Xiaoming, vice-director of China CDC, vice-chairman of Academic Degree Assessment Committee and executive dean of China CDC Graduate School.

It was attended by Shen Hongbing, director of China CDC, chairman of Academic Degree Assessment Committee and dean of China CDC Graduate School, Zhou Yuhui, deputy secretary of China CDC Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Yan Jun, vice-director of China CDC, Mei Yang, secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC China CDC Committee, and representatives of academic supervisors, alumni and graduate students.

Shi read an announcement of awarding doctoral and master's degrees to graduates of 2023. Zhou, Yan and Mei presented awards to outstanding graduates and representatives of academic supervisors.

Wei Qiang, a representative of academic supervisors, Li Hui, an alumni representative, Zhang Xixi, a representative of graduates of 2023, and Song Zexuan, a representative of graduate students, gave speeches respectively.

In his speech, Shen called on all graduates of 2023 to pursue excellence in the workplace, concentrate on the completion of each task and assignment, and fulfill their personal duties as well as the mission of safeguarding the health and life of all Chinese people.

At the end of the ceremony, Shen presented doctoral and master's degrees to graduates of 2023 and turned their tassels.
