China CDC Signs Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Hong Kong Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong Faculty of Medicine, and the City University of Hong Kong Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences

On September 9, 2024, Li Qun, Deputy Director of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC), signed a Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of China CDC with the University of Hong Kong Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong Faculty of Medicine, and the City University of Hong Kong Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences. Under this memorandum, the four institutions will collaborate in areas such as infectious disease prevention and control technology research, capacity building and talent development, public health policy research, and global health.
 
The signing of this memorandum will facilitate public health collaboration within the Greater Bay Area and bolster joint efforts between Mainland China and Hong Kong in the prevention and control of infectious diseases.
