    The Office of Academic Publishing Holds Working Exchange Meeting on Academic Publishing

    On February 26, 2025, the Office of Academic Publishing hosted a working exchange meeting on academic publishing at the Changping Campus, China CDC (here by called the Center). The meeting focused on journals organized and co-organized by the Center. Deputy Director Xiaoming Shi attended alongside editorial staff from all the editorial office. Deputy Director Qun Zhang of the Office of Academic Publishing chaired the meeting.

    2025 National Conference on the Prevention and Control of HIV/AIDS, STIs, and Viral Hepatitis Held in Nanjing, Jiangsu

    The 2025 National Conference on the Prevention and Control of HIV/AIDS, Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), and Viral Hepatitis was held in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, from February 20 to 21. The conference thoroughly implemented the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Second and Third Plenary Sessions of the 20th Central Committee. It reviewed progress in prevention and control efforts and outlined the key tasks for 2025. Xia Gang, Deputy Director of the National Administration of Disease Prevention and Control (NADPC), delivered a speech. Yan Jun, Deputy Director of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC), delivered opening remarks. The meeting was moderated by Lei Zhenglong, Director-General of the Department of Infectious Disease Prevention and Control of the NADPC, and concluded with a summary by Zhang Jun, Deputy Director-General of the department.

    Beijing, January 11, 2025-The National Key Laboratory of Intelligent Tracking and Forecasting for Infectious Diseases(NITFID)held its annual Principal Investigators(PI)meeting in Beijing on January 11.The event gathered laboratory leadership, principal investigators, and representatives from co-establishing institutions to review the laboratory's achievements, strengthen consensus, and discuss future development.

    Strengthening Cybersecurity—China CDC Hosts Network and Data Security Training Program

    To enhance employees’ cybersecurity awareness, improve their ability to counter cyber threats, and ensure the security of business information systems and data, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) held a Network and Data Security Training Program on February 27, 2025. Yan Jun, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of China CDC, attended the training and delivered a speech. More than 80 officials and staff members from headquarters departments and affiliated units participated in the event.

    The Ministry of Health of Honduras Delegation Visits China CDC

    On January 13, 2025, Dr. Amy Carolina Tovar Martinez, Vector-Borne Disease Care Program Representative at the Ministry of Health of Honduras, led a delegation of 15 people, including members of the Shared GX Foundation, to visit the Changping campus of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC). Also accompanying the delegation was H.E. Salvador Moncada, Ambassador of Republic of Honduras to China.

    China and U.S. CDCs Hold the 34th Technical Exchange Teleconference

    On January 14, 2025, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (U.S. CDC) held the 34th technical exchange teleconference. The focus of this exchange was on the theme of “Vaccine surveillance network and Measles” . Over 20 experts from both sides participated in the teleconference.

    Technical Discussion Meeting on Data Application of the National Infectious Disease Intelligent Monitoring and Early Warning Software Held in Beijing

    To accelerate the application and management of data from the National Infectious Disease Intelligent Monitoring and Early Warning Software, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) held a technical discussion meeting in Beijing on February 20, 2025. The meeting focused on the integration of data from the National Infectious Disease Intelligent Monitoring and Early Warning Software with the Provincial Coordinated Regional Infectious Disease Surveillance, Early Warning, and Emergency Command Information Platform. Information department heads from the Beijing, Shanxi, Liaoning, Zhejiang, Shandong, Hunan, Chongqing, Guizhou, and Shenzhen CDCs attended the meeting.

    Thai Ministry of Public Health Delegation Visits China CDC

    On February 12, 2025, a 12-member delegation from the Epidemiology Division of the Department of Disease Control under Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health, led by Director Wichan Bhunyakitikorn, visited the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC). Shi Xiaoming, Deputy Director General of China CDC, attended the meeting. Officials and representatives from the Office of International Cooperation, Office of Epidemiology, Center for Global Public Health, Publich Health Emergency Center(PHEC), and the Chinese Field Epidemiology Training Program (CFETP) participated in the discussions.

    Delegation of Mongolia’s Ministry of Health Visits the National Institute for Radiological Protection of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention

    Mr.Ochirbat, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Health of Mongolia, along with a nine-member delegation, visited the National Institute for Radiological Protection of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention(NIRP, China CDC).The Division of Radiation Protection, the Division of Radiobiology, the Division of the Radioepidemiology, and the Division of Radiochemistry, participated in the exchange meeting.This visit has laid a solid foundation for further exchanges and cooperation between China and Mongolia in the field of radiation protection.

    Mr.Ochirbat Dagvadorj, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Health of Mongolia, led a delegation comprising nine members to visit the National Institute for Occupational Health and Poison Control(NIOHP).China CDC.The purpose of the visit was to gain an in-depth understanding of China’s advanced practices and experiences in the field of occupational health.Strengthen cooperation between China and Mongolia in the prevention of occupational diseases and poisoning control, and jointly enhance public health standards and promote the health and well-being of both nations’populations.
