National Training Course on the Prevention and Control of Parasitic Diseases Held in Luoyang, Henan Province

From 24 to 25 September 2025, a six member delegation from the Gulf Center for Disease Prevention and Control(Gulf CDC), led by its Chief Executive Officer Dr.Pasi Penttinen, visited the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention(China CDC).The delegation carried out technical exchanges and gained an in-depth understanding of China CDC’s experience in building disease control systems, developing public health strategies, training professionals.National Institute for Nutrition and Health, and National Institute for Occupational Health and Poison Control.

Delegation from the National Institute of Public Health of Burkina Faso Visits the National Institute of Parasitic Diseases

On 1 September 2025, a six member delegation led by Dr Seydou Barro, Director of the National Institute of Public Health(Institut National de Sante Publique, INSP)of Burkina Faso, and Dr Ousmane Nere, Director of Yalgado Ouedraogo University Hospital.The meeting was chaired by Dr Wang Duoquan, Deputy Director and Researcher at the Global Health Center.Director Yuan noted that mutual visits between the two sides are an important step in implementing China – Africa health cooperation.During the visit, the delegation also toured the Human Parasite Specimen Museum of the NIPD.

WHO Report Praises China’s Tuberculosis Preventive Treatment Practices, Contributing Expertise to Global Efforts to End TB

China’s tuberculosis preventive treatment programme has achieved notable results and received recognition from the World Health Organization, offering a“China model”that other countries can draw on in their efforts to end the TB epidemic worldwide.By advancing tuberculosis preventive treatment in a systematic way, China has put forward an effective“China model”for the global goal of ending TB and will continue to contribute Chinese experience and capacity to this endeavour.
