Infectious Diseases of Poverty Achieves Latest Impact Factor of 5.5

On June 18, 2025, Clarivate released the 2025 edition of its Journal Citation Reports. The journal Infectious Diseases of Poverty has achieved a latest Impact Factor of 5.5, ranking in Quartile 1 (Q1) in the categories of Tropical Medicine, Parasitology, and Infectious Diseases,respectively. Notably, it ranks No. 1 in the Tropical Medicine category.
 
 
According to recent data from Elsevier’s CiteScore, the journal recorded a 2024 CiteScore of 9.9, placing it 35th out of 678 journals in the category of Public Health, Environmental and Occupational Health, and 35th out of 357 journals in Infectious Diseases.
 
Launched in 2012, Infectious Diseases of Poverty is supervised by the China Association for Science and Technology and jointly sponsored by the Chinese Medical Association and the National Institute of Parasitic Diseases, Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (National Center for Tropical Diseases Research). The journal has been supported under both Phase I and Phase II of the China STM Journal Excellence Action Plan. Guided by the publishing philosophy of “One World, One Health,” the journal provides a high-quality academic platform for interdisciplinary research on poverty-related infectious diseases. It promotes the dissemination of China’s experience in infectious disease prevention and control and contributes to the global response to infectious diseases.
