China CDC and CDA Singapore Launch Senior Expert Exchange Programme
In April 2025, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) and the Communicable Diseases Agency (CDA), Singapore officially launched a Senior Expert Exchange Programme under the framework of the MoU of the two organizations signed in August 2024. This programme aims to facilitate the expertise exchange and promote public health collaboration of the two organizations.
Mr. Low Yew Jern, Deputy Director of the Intelligence,Surveillance and Technology at the CDA Singapore, as the first expert of the exchange programme, visited China CDC from April 6 to 19, 2025. During the visit, he gained a deeper understanding of China’s systems and practices in infectious disease surveillance, public health emergency response, risk assessment and communication, and the application of artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies in public health.
On April 18, Mr. Low also visited the Beijing Center for Disease Control and Prevention and Haidian Hospital in Beijing.
