COVID-19 prevention tips for public transportation
For the public:
1. Choose contactless ways, such as online ticketing service and code-scanning payment, to buy tickets.
2. Keep social distance and avoid gathering.
3. Wear a mask during the entire journey, and replace it immediately if it gets wet, dirty, deformed or damaged.
4. Do not spit. Shield cough or sneeze with paper towels or elbows.
5. Try to avoid touching public items with bare hands, and avoid touching your mouth, eyes and nose with uncleaned hands. Take hand disinfectants with you.
6. Keep hand hygiene. If possible, wash your hands with running water and use soap or hand sanitizer. Carefully clean fingertips, palms and wrists.
7. When taking a taxi, passengers should sit in the back seat.
For drivers and attendants:
01
Monitor your health on a daily basis to ensure that you are in good health at work. When you are unwell, you should immediately report to your employer and seek medical help.
Wear surgical masks, N95/KN95 particle filtering masks or those with better protection, and wear disposable gloves at work.
Keep hand hygiene.
Disposable gloves should not be reused. Reusable gloves should be cleaned every day. Work clothes should be kept clean, washed regularly, and disinfected if necessary.
02
Short distance buses, taxis and other public transport vehicles that can have windows open should leave them open for ventilation when driving at low speed or idling, or when the temperature is appropriate to maintain air circulation.
In aircrafts, high-speed trains, subway trains and other relatively enclosed environment, increase the air exchange power of the air conditioners, increase the air exchange frequency, and regularly clean and disinfect the air supply outlets, the air return outlets and the filter screens of the air conditioners.
03
Keep public transport vehicles clean and tidy, remove garbage in time, clean and disinfect seats and handrails.
Public facilities at each station and public areas should be cleaned and disinfected. Toilets and hand basins should be equipped with hand sanitizers. Areas with heavy crowd traffic at the stations should also be equipped with hand sanitizers.
The staff responsible for daily cleaning and disinfection should also take care of personal protection when preparing and using disinfectants.
