With over three decades of dedicated work in cancer epidemiology, Prof. Shen has made significant contributions to the advancement of cancer prediction and precision prevention. His research spans the development of prevention and treatment strategies for high-risk populations, birth cohort studies, and the application of big data in health and medical science.

Prof. Shen has authored hundreds of peer-reviewed articles in leading international journals, such as Nature Genetics and The Lancet Respiratory Medicine. His scientific and teaching contributions as primary investigator have been honored with multiple esteemed awards, including the Second Prize of the National Natural Science Award, the Ho Leung Ho Lee Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress, and the Second Prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award.
