Zainawudong·Yushan joined the Communist Party of China in April 1999 and began to work from Sep 2001. He obtained his bachelor's degree in clinical medicine from Xinjiang Medical University(XJMU)in 2001. From May 2004 to Nov. 2021, Zainawudong worked at XJMU, where he held multiple positions in different departments, and served as the vice president of the university from Nov. 2018 to Nov. 2021. Meanwhile, he held a temporary post in HeTian Moyu County, and served as the first secretary of the Party Working Committee. Zainawudong also worked at the Bureau of Disease Prevention and Control of the National Health Commission, serving as its deputy director between Sep. 2020 and Nov. 2021. He serves as deputy director of the China CDC from Nov.2021.
